Pine siskins escape hawk and take a break at PROWLS

Pine siskin

It is encouraging in a strange sort of way, to once again be rescuing pine siskins after a noticeable diminishment in their numbers due to the salmonella virus.

These two were knocked to the ground by a hawk and rescued by the homeowner who witnessed the attack. Soon recovered and rarin’ to go they were released where they were found, happy to join their flock again!
